We stayed in town for Memorial Weekend, but we found lots of fun things to do anyway. Friday night we had dinner with some of Kyle's relatives who were in town for a few days. It was so much fun catching up with them that we ended up going to their resort to hang out with them on Saturday, too. They stayed at the Arizona Grand Resort (the old Pointe S. Mountain). That place has an awesome little water park in it including some huge water slides, a lazy river with rapids, a giant wave pool, a regular pool and a kids pool and splash pad. It was a big hit with Gage and Brigg. I took Brigg on the Lazy river with me and the fam, but Gage wasn't interested in calmly floating around the pool so Kyle had to play with him in the wave pool most of the time.
For my birthday, my sister in law got me a ticket to the No Doubt/Paramore concert so that's where I was until 2:00am Sat night. It was an awesome concert and we had so much fun but it was hard to function the next day after only getting 3 hours of sleep (Brigg was up for the day at 5am).
Sunday after church we went to Kyle's mom's house to celebrate his step dad and brother in law's birthdays. Gage usually wants everyone to entertain him so we were surprised when he was outside nicely pulling his little cousin, Alexis around in the wagon. Maybe there's hope for him to become the "nice" boy someday. :)
Kyle had to work on Monday so I took the boys to Walmart (I know, we are so white trash). Then Chris and Michelle invited us over to swim and see their new house. They have the greatest backyard and it was fun to catch up with them. Their girls are almost exactly the same age as our boys, so if Gage can ever learn to be a little nicer (he has a major biting problem right now...anyone have any suggestions on how to end that??), it will be fun for them to play together.
